When the industry was shifted to the scenic but island of Murano the industry instead of declining acquired a new life.

The artisans who were allowed great privileges but isolated from the rest of the world began to concentrate on their art and evolved a number of new techniques.

The experimentation remained with the generations and every generation produced something new.

In the first half of the 20th century, the then generation of artists invented a magnificent way of expressing their great artistic prowess.

That was a technique by which glass articles were dipped in liquid glass of different colors to give an encased appearance.

The technique was called ‘Sommerso’ meaning immersed.

The chromatic effect produced by the technique won the heart of the world in no time.We worked with the master to select sommerso color combination anf the colored glass vertical orientation.
